Who we are

Fund F is a Vienna-based early-stage VC fund investing in the biggest opportunity in European tech: gender-diverse founder teams. We’re in our first fund generation and write cheques between EUR 100-400k. Our sweet spot are impact-driven ventures in ClimateTech, HRTech, HealthTech & FinTech.

Please note: this is a full-time position (40 hrs) with the latest starting date on September 1st, 2024.

Fund F is part of the Female Founders Group

Fund F originated from Female Founders, Europe’s largest community for entrepreneurial women, reaching more than 90k women across the continent. Female Founders was started in 2016 to bring more women to the tech ecosystem. Over the past years, we’ve built an entire ecosystem that supports women from their first idea of joining a tech startup to successfully exiting their own company. How you will contribute to the success of Fund F

Teamwork makes the dream work (cheesy 🧀, but true). You will

actively source companies across Europe and be their first touchpoint with Fund F
screen deals and present them in our weekly deal meeting
lead & execute the DD process (incl. reference calls) with the support of our Analysts
prepare IC material and take part in the IC meetings
prepare term sheets and execute deals with the support of the GPs
work with the portfolio companies and take board observer seats
regularly attend events across Europe to meet startups, co-investors, and partners of Fund F
join our Fund F events (for portfolio companies and Limited Partners)
occasionally participate in meetings, introducing the fund and investment opportunities to potential investors

Who we are looking for

You’re a great match with Fund F if you

share our vision & values (see above ⬆️)
regardless of your gender, you care about gender equality. You understand the importance of a fund focused on gender-diverse founding teams and are willing to learn more about it
want to work with us for several years to come and throughout the next fund generations; interest in taking a leadership role is more than welcome
already have 3-5 years of experience in VC or as a founder/operator in a startup/scale-up. In the best case, you’ve already executed deals on your own (incl. in-depth DD and preparation of IC material) and acted as board observer
already have a network in the VC industry (especially in the DACH area)
enjoy building relationships with founders, stakeholders, etc.
are based in Vienna 🇦🇹, Munich or Berlin 🇩🇪 or are willing to relocate (work permit is required)
are excited to travel and attend conferences, demo days and the like across Europe
are a good communicator with an open mind who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. If you feel comfortable networking and pitching, this fast-paced environment is the right place for you
want to become part of a small core team and at the same time part of the bigger Female Founders Group
are hands-on and willing to jump in to support other team members
are fluent in English 🇬🇧 (writing, reading & speaking); German 🇩🇪 is certainly a plus

have bi-yearly feedback sessions with the GPs

receive an annual salary of EUR 70k gross (in Austria the yearly salary is equivalent to 14 payments)
participate in the fund’s carry pool
have 25 vacation days per year 🌴
get End of Quarter Days (EOQ): additional days off on the last Friday of each quarter
participate in our End of Month Days (EOM): at the end of every month, we take half a day to do learning sessions on topics related to personal development
work from our brand-new Vienna office or work remotely/from your home office 💻
have core working hours between 10am-5pm

The selection process consists of the following steps:

After analyzing your application, we will contact shortlisted applicants for a 20-minute call in English with Judith and one of the GPs.
A few days after the call, selected applicants will receive a task with a three-day deadline. This task will be an example of what you can expect on the job. This helps us to assess your skills and allows you to get a glimpse of the role
Once the tasks are done, we will set up a 30-minute video call with both GPs. If there is the need for one more round of interviews after these calls, the 3 most promising applicants will be contacted for another 30-minute video call.
